Advancing God’s Kingdom For His Glory

Outreach Opportunities

Mailing “Action Packs” to Persecuted Christians

Trees are decorated with fall leaves that have needed items such as blankets, sweaters, etc. printed on them. Individuals pick a leaf and bring that item to the church. The needed supplies are put in vacuum bags and mailed to “Voice of the Martyrs”, which takes them to persecuted believers in Iraq, Pakistan, and Afghanistan.

Overseas Missions

Our church body supports missionaries in Czechoslovakia, Zimbabwe, South Africa, and the Middle East. Some of our teens have taken summer trips to Panama, Peru, Mexico, and Poland using drama and relationship evangelism.

Local Missions

Our church financially supports campus ministries at Virginia Tech, Radford University, and the University of Virginia. We also support a family that is full time with “Campus Crusade For Christ”. We participate in and support the local ministries of the Caring Pregnancy Center, “Angel Tree”, and “Young Life”, which reaches unsaved teens in our local high school and middle school.

Servant Evangelism

Servant Evangelism - the church body engages in acts of kindness as an outreach to the community such as: baking cookies for the staff and teachers at the local schools; giving away free drinks to hospital staff, customers in the Laudromat, and others; silk roses to women working as store clerks on Mother’s Day; and other practical acts to show the love of God. We attach a connection card note with our church website and phone number for those who would like to know more about having a relationship with God.

Christmas Shoebox Ministry

Individuals fill a shoebox with toys for a boy or girl living in a Third World country. The boxes are wrapped and taken to a collection site. “Samaritan’s Purse” then distributes these Christmas gifts to needy children overseas.

Advancing The Kingdom On Our Knees

We believe fervently in the importance of prayer. It is on our knees that the real battle is waged, as we surrender our agendas to God and pray for His Kingdom to come, His will to be done in our body, our community, our nation, and all the world!

Friendship Evangelism

Our body sees the deep need to reach out to those around us and share the good news of the gospel. Most often this occurs as we share our lives with others and reach out in compassionate friendship.

Youth Outreach

We put a strong emphasis on youth and children’s ministry, recognizing the spiritual impact of reaching the next generation for Christ. Polls of believing adults indicate that 85% are converted before the age of eighteen. Our youth attend local, as well as nationwide, Christian conferences such as “Acquire the Fire”. Our teens also go on summer mission trips and participate in community outreach.
